Journal for 6-Dec-2003 : Cann River |
---|
Lots of wallabies scooting across roads this morning. They might have been potaroos. The road through Cape Crawford coastal park went through some really nice bushland.
I seem to remember there being some flat road on the highway to Cann River. I was right. The last 1500m was flat as a pancake. But before that we were up and down like yo-yos. A serious headwind held us up on the rare occasions the trees hills didn't obstruct it. Some nice forest, some thin forest (logged), some cleared forest (heavily logged) and burnt forest by the road today.
Got to Cann River for lunch, just in time for a snooze. The riding was generally quite fun, but there was enough aggressive and/or incompetent traffic to keep us on our toes.
