Nice to start the morning with some riding for a change, along the Bruce Highway. After 5km the riding became jarring, slow and difficult with ridiculously rough shoulder seal. Glasshouse Mountains good to start with, but too narrow for after Beerware, at least for the first Sunday of school holidays. Visited Steve Irwin's (The Crocodile Hunter) Australia Zoo, along with hundreds of school kids and American tourists. Quite good, better than expected (as I expected more of a circus than a zoo :-). Left the zoo quite late in the afternoon, but we ate up the Ks like nothing after the road improved - at least until we hit Budrim Mountain, 2ks of 1 in 10 climbing, during which the sun set on us. << Prev - Next >> |
