Journal for 18-June-2004 : Calgary |
---|
Caught the ultra cool light rail train into Calgary's ultra modern ultra clean looking CBD. Calgary looks like a town where the local government is awash with money. Shiny new transport systems, indoor public gardens and well cleaned and maintained streets. A bit like Sydney during the Olympics, except it's like that all the time here.
We found the AAA and got some more maps and guides. We found a book shop and Linda stocked up on some reading material. Paperback books that cost $A25 are $C10 here. We found a mall on the way “home”, and I did some personal grooming that should have been done weeks ago: I got my hair cut.
I'm coming down with a cold :-(. And I don't even have anyone I don't like to blame.
