Time to get back on the road today. We *almost * got back on the road before it started raining. But then a massive Prairie rainstorm swept through town. An hour and a half later we were on the road, and made it all of two blocks to the local gas station before the heavens opened again. We passed more flat farmlands on a soaking wet road. With a bustling south easterly headwind we were managing a modest 15kph at best. We reached Lettellier at lunch time, having covered barely 20km. With 120ks further to the next camp ground, and the rain tumbling down again, and not really enough daylight left, it wasn't a hard decision to stop early again today. << Prev - Next >> |
