Journal for 26-August-2004 : Paris

We have been unable to locate any tourist information at all in Paris. We have no idea what's ahead of us, and even if we did we can't ask where it is, or even understand the answer :-).

We did manage one accomplishment: I got my hair cut. We even found a coin laundry, a difficulty we were not expecting. They use a different word here for that than in Quebec.

Installed replacement clusters and went for a modest test ride up the bike path next to the Ourca canal. Big improvement! However we have learned just how much trouble we are likely to have navigating France. We had to negotiate just one section of streets to reach our target destination, and got completely lost. The road we intended to take was one way the wrong way.
