Journal for 13-Jun-03 : Laurieton |
---|
Another lovely morning, and more great riding. This is our third day riding in a row, and my motivation to start with was rather low. Highway wasn't as bad as we feared. Traffic not too heavy. Mostly wide shoulder on the highway, and where it didn't have shoulder we made great time!! The Ks seemed to just melt away. In fact, three or four on the map didn't even exist.
Lunch at Kew, and very quick riding to Laurieton. Whenever I felt like slowing down, a spot of rain would hit my arm to spur me on again.
Laurieton is a nice little holiday village on the Camden Haven River. Well it was quiet ten years ago when we were here last. Now there are hundreds or even thousands of newly constructed retirement suburbs.
