Fort Frances' CBD looked much more alive on a bustling sunny (almost) Monday morning, certainly a lot more alive than it looked on a Sunday Afternoon. We walked into town to find the laundromat and the supermarket, then dawdled back to the motel to watch the Tour de France followed by 17 consecutive episodes of Star Trek. The TDF is getting quite a bit of coverage in the US these days, but when Phil Ligget has been replaced the the American commentators you could be forgiven for thinking Sir Lancelot was the only knight ever to grace the round table. Went for a short walk out to the park to see the softballers practicing and the ducks bobbing on Rainy Lake. This didn't last too long once the mosquitoes found us. << Prev - Next >> |
