Another day of really nice cycling through forests and lakes in the ultra lightly populated North West Ontario. The first hour or so was relatively slow going, as we chatted with Haans and Anne, a pair of cyclists from Germany who've done a *lot* of cycling. Haans claims to have cycled 124 countries – so far! Weather a bit iffy today again. It never actually rained, just threatened to most of the day. Lunch was an exception, where we enjoyed the occasional sunny patch in the picnic area by the lake. My appetite for long distances and rolling hills evaporated as a stiff headwind came up just after lunch. It lasted only an hour or so, but made our target town seem a hell of a long way away, and it was! << Prev - Next >> |
