Journal for 9-Mar-2004 : Wellington |
---|
Rolled down to the hill to the ferry terminal. No dramas loading the bikes. These guys do it every day.
Met some American cyclists who were half way along on their around the world trip also waiting for the boat to Wellington.
Negotiated Wellington traffic to our microscopic motel room.
Put the bikes in for a service, do some shopping and I finally got on the Internet. About time as I needed to make a backup.
Instead of making a backup I decided to return a few e-mails while Linda packed the shopping. Not all of the shopping remained perched above my kitchen top desk, with a substantial tin of peaches landing flush on my hard drive. There was no damage done. The peach tin was barely dented. Our mainframe would no longer boot however.
