Journal for 26-Sep-2003 : Meekatharra |
---|
E wind picked up overnight, so Linda didn't sleep too well.
We had great tailwind for first two hours early morning riding, a shocking cross wind for the next hour, then the wind switched around giving us another burst of tailwind to blow us into Meeka.
Trees and shrubs are getting lower and sparser. The ground is still very red, but getting a touch rockier, and we're starting to see quartz rocks by the roads. This is now gold bearing country.
