Spent the day with Linda's parents who drove us around the sights of Kal. The Superpit lookout was closed for a quick refurb before the big mining expo tomorrow. We drove out Placer Dome's operation 20ks out of town for a sticky beak. We capped that off with a shopping spree for most of our food for the Nullarbor stretch. Kalgoorlie is dominated by the following industries: Gold Mining, Stock Broking and prostitution. In fact Kalgoorlie's Hay St is famous for it's walk up brothels. I really wanted to have a gawk, but it was always going to be a tricky proposition with my wife in tow - let alone my mother in law !!! << Prev - Next >> |
