Journal for 26-October-2004 : Tura Beach |
---|
Early hills and headwinds as we worked our way through the farming country towards Mt Darragh. From there a sensational downhill through magnificent state forest.
Even the hills between Wyndam and Pambula were enjoyable this morning. Something about the roads being quieter now that it's not school holidays here.
Ate the remains of our lunch food at Pambula, before the final 10ks to Linda's parent's place (essentially so the first thing we did on arrival was eat all their food).
Magic Mountain rd still a shocker. Narrow, a very steep hill and a dangerous mix of young hoons and quilters fighting for the road.
The reward for our efforts was a view of the Pacific Ocean and whales frolicking off the coast.
