Journal for 3-Feb-2004 : Dunedin |
---|
A proper rest day today. We sat around watching the mist and rain outside. At lunch time the fog lifted (slightly) and we went for a walk out to the imaginatively named Ocean Beach. At the height of summer, Dunedinites' idea of heading down to the beach involves driving to the foreshore road and parking with a view of the surf crashing into the white sandy beach. When it gets warm, they wind down the window, and if it gets really hot, they open the car door!
By mid afternoon the mist and rain had returned. The TV weather forecast was for *continued* fine weather (?!?!), but a southerly change tomorrow accompanied by some real rain.
