Woke at 2am by the thunderous roar of rain belting into the roof. By daybreak we could see the rain wasn't so much falling from the sky, but being driving in by a hurricane from the ocean. Haast gets more than 5m of rain a year, and a fair lot of that was dumped today. We've endured some tough headwinds already in New Zealand, but these were so strong we couldn't make it out the driveway. Discovered my laptop (probably) has a wormy virus, and spent much of the day trying to isolate it, unsuccessfully it must be said. << Prev - Next >> |
