Journal for 6-Mar-2004 : Motueka |
---|
Made a hasty (relatively, we didn't get a chance to dry everything) packup of camp as the exit from the beach gets cut off at rapidly approaching high tide.
Walked out of Abel Tasman NP to Marahau, then bus back to town.
Another really nice day, but I can tell you it was pretty damn cold in the morning.
Back in town I noticed a small park with nice little gardens and an entrance archway bearing an unusual low key sponsor's notice: "This park has been provided by WD & HO Wills" (the name of a long time Cigarette manufacturer in Australia, coincidently). Only later did I realise this park was next to the crematorium, and was the memorial garden. Curious.
