Journal for 22-Oct-2003 : Norseman |
---|
Light headwinds and undulations as we rode down to Norseman. Interesting scenery past the salt Lake Cowan.
Today is clearly truck day. At least 30 trucks passed us heading east in under three hours of riding. The most profitable runs are East Coast to Perth over the weekend. Today is Tuesday, and they are all heading back east to get next weekend's load.
Norseman not much of a town, but the last real town till Ceduna 1200km away in South Australia.
Changed a tyre and checked my wheel. I just realised my rear rim actually has 6 failure points rather than the one (which has been very stable since I found it 3000k ago). So I'm just a touch nervous about this next *little* stretch!
